Registered Nurse (Emergency Department)- Contracts, QLD

Urgent Registered Nurses (RN) Grade 5 required for short term contracts located in Rockhampton, Mount Morgan, Emerald, Blackwater, Biloela regions in QLD.

Unidex Recruitment are urgently recruiting for Registered Nurses for Medical, Surgical, Emergency, Mental Health, and Maternity Units to work for a well-established government organisation in QLD. These are full-time contractual hours working for 4-6 weeks with a possibility of extention.

Contract Details:

• Immediate start dates available
• Nursing Level: NRG 5 - RN
• Hours: 76-80 hours per fortnight
• Location: Regional Queensland.
• Pay rates: From $49.72phr - $127.54phr (depending on shift and level)
• Weekly Pay - Paid every Thursday Plus Superannuation 11.5%

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care in both Emergency Department and General Ward settings.
• Apply advanced clinical skills in Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Perform triage, IV cannulation, and emergency nursing duties.

Skills & Experience Required:

• ED Experience essential. Resus and Ventilation skills are highly desirable.
• Mandatory qualification/s: Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Proven ability to comprehensively assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Knowledge of legal and professional responsibilities for contemporary nursing models of care.
• Demonstrated high standard of written and oral communication skills with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and their families.
• Proven ability to provide clinical education and support and demonstrate own ongoing professional development.

Shift Details and Requirements:

• 24/7 operational hours across all shifts.
• Note: Candidates must agree to an 8-10 hour break between shifts.
• Current Driver's Licence: Required
• Accommodation: Shared accommodation provided. On-site accommodation is not always guaranteed.
• Domestic Travel: $200 (including GST) each way provided for travel within Queensland, with tax receipts required. One travel day will be paid at AM rates.
• Bonus: Paid after the completion of contract, taxes apply.
• Mandatory Training: Candidates must be compliant with the required training modules before the start of the contract.
