Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

About the role:

We are currently hiring for Disability Support Workers with high complex care experience to support an 11-year-old boy based in Tamworth, NSW. Our participant recently sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and a Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) from a motor vehicle accident. As a result of the accident, our participant is non-verbal.

Support is required only for evening shifts from Monday-Sunday.

Pay rates are:

• Day Shift - $38.75 p/h
• Afternoon Shift - $42.63 p/h
• Saturday Shift - $54.25 p/h
• Sunday Shift - $69.75 p/h

Key Responsibilities:

• Peristeen bowel care - will be signed off as competent
• Meal prep
• Assist with therapy appointments
• Prompting and personal care
• Domestic assistance

Skills & Experiences:

• Certificate III in Individual Support
• Current First Aid & CPR
• Current Police Clearance
• NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module
• NDIS 'Supporting Effective Communication" module
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check
• Full Australian working rights
• Australian Driver's License
