Disability Support Worker

Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.


The Role:

We are currently looking for an experienced Disability Support Workers to support our male participant based in Hillvue, NSW. Who has sustained a spinal cord injury, as a result of being in a horse-riding accident, with 2:1 support.


Shifts Times:

Monday 1630-1830

Wednesday 0700-0900

Friday 0800-1000

Sunday 0830-1030


Pay Rates:

• Day - $38.75 per hour
• Saturday - $54.25 per hour
• Sunday - $69.75 per hour
  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Manual Handling
• Stoma Care
• Catheter Care
• Personal Care
• Medication Administration
• Assistance with Domestic Tasks
• Assistance with Meal Preparation
  
  

Skills & Experiences:

• Manual Handling Experience
• Stoma Care (Preferred but not essential, training will be provided)
• Catheter Care (Preferred but not essential, training will be provided)
• Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
• NDIS Effective Communication Module
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Screening check
• Current National Police Clearance (within 12 months of issue)
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Current WWCC
