Continue Your Apprenticeship
Stay on the tools and finish what you started
Life isn’t always predictable. Apprentices can find themselves looking for a change for all kinds of reasons. If you’re in-training or out-of-trade, consider joining our team to pick up your apprenticeship right where you left off.
We work across a number of key industries, including electrical and plumbing apprentices. We have trained over 2000 apprentices in the last 20 years including many who restarted their apprenticeship or joined us in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year.
Let’s get back to work
1. Pick up where you left off
Life happens – and stepping away from your apprenticeship doesn’t mean starting over. Depending on your previous experience and qualifications, you may be able to resume training with credit for the work you’ve already completed. A Group Training Organisation can help assess your progress and match you with the right host employer to get back on track.
2. Find the right fit this time around
You’ve had some experience, so now’s a good time to think about the type of work environment that suits you best. Whether it’s a small team, a large company, or a specific trade area, there are plenty of options available. A fresh start with the right employer can make all the difference.
3. Refresh your skills and confidence
If it’s been a while since you were on the tools, don’t worry – support is available to help you ease back in. Mentoring from experienced tradespeople, up skilling opportunities, and structured training through an RTO or TAFE provider can help you rebuild confidence and update your knowledge.
4. You’re not in this alone
From managing paperwork and pay to connecting you with training providers and industry mentors, a dedicated support team is there to guide you. You’ll get weekly wages, workplace protections, and access to help when you need it, so you can focus on making real progress.
5. Make your experience count
Returning to an apprenticeship shows resilience and determination – two qualities employers really value. With the right support and a renewed focus, you can complete your qualification and open the door to future opportunities, whether it’s working for a top company or eventually going out on your own.
Come back stronger
Returning to your apprenticeship through a Group Training pathway is a great way to pick up where you left off – with the added benefit of experience behind you. You’ll continue to get paid as you learn, building hands-on skills across a variety of job sites. Working with different host employers, from small local operators to large national brands, gives you a second chance to broaden your knowledge and sharpen your skills in real-world settings.
You’ll also have the backing of a dedicated support team who’ll help make your return as smooth as possible. From ensuring you’re paid correctly and on time, to linking you with mentors and training providers, you’ll have guidance every step of the way. Off-the-job training through a registered TAFE or RTO lets you continue working towards a nationally recognised qualification – no need to start over from scratch.
Whether you took a break due to personal reasons, work circumstances or anything in between, it’s never too late to get back on track. With Group Training, you can make the most of your previous experience while gaining the support you need to finish strong and plan for what’s next – whether that’s working with a leading employer or building your own business.
