Disability Support Worker

Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

About the Role:

We are currently looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team to assist our participant in Shoalhaven Heads, NSW. Our participant is a middle-aged male who has suffered an acquired brain injury.

This role is on an on-going casual basis, with shifts to commence ASAP.

Current Roster: Please note: flexibility with shifts is required.

• Monday - Thursday
• 8AM - 4PM

Payrates:

• Day - $40.00 per hour
• Afternoon - $44.00 per hour
• Saturday - $56.00 per hour
• Sunday - $72.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Prompting personal care: washing, drying, dressing & grooming
• Supervision during toileting and showering
• Promoting independence
• Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning, cooking and laundry tasks
• Community access (appointments, activities, etc.)
• Organising appointments

Requirements:

• Experience with brain injury or other high complex care participants
• Experience with hoisting / transfers
• Australian Driver License is a MUST
• Current National Police Clearance
• Current Working with Children's Check
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module and Supporting Effective Communication Module
• Medication Administration Training (must)
• Reliability with a proactive and positive attitude is very important to the participant
