The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Victorian team, supporting apprentices working across commercial, residential, and industrial projects throughout Melbourne.

Based out of our Blackburn Head Office, you'll spend much of your time visiting sites, mentoring apprentices, supporting host employers, and helping grow our network of clients.

Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, you'll play a critical role in apprentice success and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor and support apprentices throughout their employment
  * Conduct site visits and ensure apprentices are safe, supported and progressing
  * Build strong relationships with host employers and apprentices
  * Assist with recruitment, interviews and apprentice placements
  * Address performance or welfare concerns early and constructively
  * Participate in career events, expos and industry engagement activities
  * Ensure WHS and compliance requirements are maintained on site
  * Support business development opportunities when engaging with clients
  * Understand commercial and industrial requirements of host employers

Skills & Experience

We're ideally looking for someone with a trade background - electrical preferred - who understands what apprentices face on site.

You'll also bring:

• Trade qualification or experience in electrical or related industries
  * Experience mentoring or supervising apprentices or trades staff
  * Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  * Ability to work autonomously and within a team
  * Good organisational and time-management skills
  * Strong commitment to safety and compliance
  * Understanding of awards, wages and site conditions is advantageous
  * Previous Field Officer or labour hire experience highly regarded
