Disability Support Worker

Unidex healthcare are currently recruiting in Bowen Hills for an experienced Disability Support Worker.

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable Support Worker to partner with a female Participant living in Bowen Hills. Our Participant has a Spinal Cord Injury and is looking for someone who can support her in returning to some of the activities she enjoys.

Rates:
Day $41.45 per hour
Afternoon $ 45.59 per hour

Duties:

• Assistance with personal care
• Assistance with bowel therapy (administering enema and digital stimulation)
• Assistance with domestic tasks
• Manual handling such as hoisting and transfers
• Administering medication
• Insulin experience preferred but not essential (training provided)
• Wound Care

Skills & Experience

• Australian Driver's License
• Certificate 3 in Individual Support minimum requirement
• Current National Police Clearance within 12 months
• Current Blue Card
• Current Yellow Card
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Support effective communication module
• Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude
• Medication administration certificate or willing to obtain prior to commencement
