Machine Operator

The Role

FHR currently have multiple opportunities for an experienced Machine Operator to join our client that specialises in the Windows & Doors industry. This opportunity is located in Girraween and we have immediate starts available for the candidates who're successful in their application for these positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate saws, presses, and other automated or semi-automated machinery to cut, shape, and form metal components according to production specifications.
  • Conduct accurate measurements, visual checks, and quality inspections of metal parts to ensure they meet required tolerances, product standards, and company quality guidelines.
  • Set up machines for daily production, adjust tooling, and perform basic preventative maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and reporting faults to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety policies, including correct use of PPE, safe machine operation techniques, hazard reporting, and maintaining a clean and organised work area.
  • Meet daily production targets, follow job sheets and work orders, record machine outputs, and communicate with supervisors to ensure smooth workflow across the manufacturing line.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience as a machine operator highly preferred
  • Experience working with windows, glass or doors
  • Physically fit or experience working in a physically demanding role
