About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out both scheduled and breakdown maintenance while ensuring all safety, environmental and quality standards are met.
Your duties will include:
- Performing routine inspections and maintenance on plant equipment
- Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting machinery issues
- Replacing worn components and undertaking repairs
- Working on conveyors, rollers, gearboxes, shredders and mobile equipment
- Conducting daily shutdown maintenance activities
- Greasing, cleaning and ensuring equipment is operating safely
- Completing safety documentation including Take 5s, TRA's and JSEA's
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Escalating maintenance concerns for prompt resolution
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, mining or similar environments
- Trade qualification - Fitter, Boilermaker or Mechanic (Cert III)
- Experience working on heavy machinery and mobile plant
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams
- Current South Australian Driver's Licence
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and within a team
Desirable Skills
- MIG welding experience
- Experience with excavators, loaders, trommels, shredders and conveyors
