Qualified Welder / Fabricator - Structural MIG Welder

We are currently seeking an experienced Qualified Welder / Fabricator to join our client's team on a temporary basis.

About the Role

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for structural MIG welding of anchor plate assemblies, including welding forged rings and lugs onto 16-25 mm steel plate.

All welding is completed in accordance with qualified welding procedures, so the successful candidate must be confident working to documented procedures and producing consistent, high-quality welds.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Trade qualifications in Welding/Fabrication
  • Extensive experience in structural MIG welding
  • Strong experience welding heavy steel components
  • Experience working on qualified welding procedures and quality requirements
  • The ability to read and follow welding procedures and specifications
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality and workmanship
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistency
  • Previous experience in a structural steel or heavy fabrication environment
