School Photographer / Administration

School Photographer / Administration Coordinator - 2IC Opportunity

Burswood, Perth WA | $65,000 + Superannuation | Full-Time, Permanent

Photography. Administration. Operations. Career Progression.

Are you an experienced photographer who is just as comfortable working with people, managing customers and keeping things organised behind the scenes as you are behind the camera?

Frontline Human Resources (FHR) is recruiting on behalf of Leading Image School Photos, an established national school photography business, for a School Photographer / Administration Coordinator to join its Perth operation based in Burswood.

This is much more than a photography role.

You'll combine hands-on school photography with administration, customer service and operational support, helping keep the Perth branch running smoothly.

For the right person, there is genuine scope to take on greater responsibility and develop towards a 2IC position, supporting the Branch Manager and helping train and develop the local photography team.

The Role

You'll attend contracted schools across the Perth region, delivering a professional photography experience for students and school staff, while also playing an important role in the day-to-day operation of the branch.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering professional portrait and group photography at schools across the Perth region
  • Working closely with school administration teams to help coordinate successful photo days
  • Completing daily digital photography and job-processing requirements
  • Managing customer communication, follow-up and general administration
  • Liaising with production teams to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on time
  • Assisting with photographic equipment preparation, maintenance and stock coordination
  • Supporting sales activity, including customer follow-up, new business opportunities and developing relationships with schools
  • Assisting with the training and development of photographers
  • Taking on additional operational and leadership responsibilities as you develop in the role

About You

We're looking for someone who can combine strong photography skills with organisation, customer service and initiative.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Demonstrated professional photography experience
  • Experience photographing portraits and large groups, with school photography experience highly regarded
  • Strong technical knowledge of photographic equipment and the ability to maintain consistent photographic quality
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with children, school staff, parents and customers
  • Strong administration and computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn internal photography, CRM and production systems
  • Excellent organisation, time management and attention to detail
  • Confidence working autonomously while also contributing to a close-knit team
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and getting things done
  • Confidence with customer follow-up and sales activity
  • The ability and willingness to travel regularly to schools across the Perth region, with occasional overnight travel where required
  • An interest in developing into a broader operational and 2IC position

Essential Requirements

Due to the nature of this position and the work undertaken within schools, applicants must:

  • Hold a current Working with Children Check - Employee Status, or be eligible and willing to obtain the appropriate clearance before commencing
  • Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Be willing and able to travel to schools and other locations as required
  • Comply with Leading Image School Photos' child safety and safeguarding requirements
  • Follow all relevant Work Health and Safety requirements, company policies, procedures and standards
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality and professional standards when working with schools, students, parents and company information

What's On Offer

  • $65,000 + Superannuation
  • Full-time, permanent employment
  • An additional week of leave on top of NES entitlements
  • Genuine opportunity to develop towards a 2IC position
  • Ongoing training and mentoring in Leading Image's photography systems, processes and standards
  • A varied position combining photography, administration, operations and customer relationships
  • Paid travel associated with school visits
  • Supportive local team backed by an established national school photography business
