To be considered, applicants must have direct experience within one or more of the following sectors:

• Plastics manufacturing
• Rigid plastic packaging
• FMCG packaging
• Injection moulding
• Packaging supply into dairy, yoghurt or food manufacturing customers
• Supermarket-aligned supply chains and packaging solutions

Candidates without relevant experience in these sectors are unlikely to be suitable for this role.

Frontline Human Resources (FHR) is partnering with a well-established Australian manufacturer with over 50 years of industry success, seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth.

This is a genuine new business development role-not account management. You'll be responsible for identifying opportunities, opening doors, building a pipeline and converting prospects into long-term customers.

The successful candidate will bring industry knowledge, established networks and a proven ability to sell packaging solutions into FMCG, food production, dairy or related manufacturing sectors.

Our client is a highly respected Australian manufacturer specialising in rigid plastic packaging solutions. For more than five decades they have supplied quality packaging products to leading food, dairy, FMCG and industrial customers across Australia.

Known for their product quality, reliability and customer service, the business is now investing in strategic growth and expanding its presence across key markets.

The Role

Operating from a site office in Knoxfield, you will have the autonomy to manage your territory while being supported by an experienced manufacturing and operations team.

Your focus will be on generating new business opportunities, securing new customers and expanding market share across targeted industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive new business growth across FMCG, food manufacturing, dairy and industrial sectors
• Build, manage and convert a robust sales pipeline
• Identify and secure new client opportunities
• Develop relationships with key decision-makers and procurement teams
• Present tailored packaging solutions and commercial proposals
• Negotiate pricing, contracts and supply agreements
• Monitor market trends and identify growth opportunities
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction
• Maintain accurate pipeline and sales activity reporting

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Proven success in a Business Development role with a strong focus on winning new business
• Direct experience within plastics manufacturing, rigid plastic packaging, FMCG packaging or injection moulding
• Experience selling into food manufacturing, dairy, yoghurt or supermarket-aligned supply chains
• Demonstrated ability to generate and convert sales opportunities
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a sales territory effectively
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Highly Regarded

• Existing relationships within FMCG, dairy, food production or packaging sectors
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and packaging supply chains
• Experience working with major retailers or retailer-aligned suppliers
