Disability Support Worker

Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.



Participant:

We are currently looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team to assist our participant in Telopea, NSW. Our participant is in his 20s and has an acquired brain injury and requires assistance in social aspects of his life. He also has a cat living with him.



This role is casual on-going and will involve a roster that includes:

• Monday and Wednesday: 10AM-2PM

Payrates:

• Day Shift - $38.75 p/h

• Public Holiday - $85.25 p/h

Key Responsibilities:

• Support with social engagement and capacity-building appointments

• Encourage and promote independence in daily activities, including cooking and meal preparation etc.,

• Provide transportation to appointments and skill development classes etc.,

• Assistance with planning outings

• Assist with light household tasks

Requirements:

• Prior experience working with people who has acquired brain injury

• Australian Drivers Licence and insured Vehicle is a MUST

• Current First Aid & CPR

• National Police Clearance

• NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module and Supporting Effective Communication Module

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• Working with Children Check

• Full Australian working rights

• Positive Attitudes and flexibility in shift times
