About the Role

We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team in supporting a 12-year-old boy living in Tamworth, NSW. Our participant sustained a Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) following a motor vehicle accident and requires high-complexity care and consistent, dedicated support.

This role is casual on-going and will involve a roster that includes:

Monday, Friday & Sunday: 3:15pm - 6:30pm

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 3:15pm - 8pm

Saturday: 1pm - 6:30pm

Key Duties

• Support with personal care and daily living activities, including supervision and prompting
• Preparation of and assistance with afternoon tea
• Support with the Peristeen bowel care process (training will be provided)
• Medication management (prompting only)
• Setting up and assisting with the use of a standing frame, including activities while in frame
• Assistance with domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
• Support with community access and engagement

Pay Rate

• Day Shift - $42.50 p/h
• Saturday Shift - $59.50 p/h
• Sunday Shift - $76.50 p/h

Skills & Experience

• Certificate III in Individual Support or relevant (desirable but not essential)
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Current Police Check (within 12 months of issue)
• NDIS - Worker Orientation Module or willing to complete
• NDIS - Supporting Effective Communication Module or willing to complete
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check
• Full Australian working rights
• Australian Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
• Strong English Communication Skills
• Positive attitude, reliable, and flexible
