Disability Support Worker

About the Company:

Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specializing in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:
The participant is a male with a spinal cord injury who requires two-to-one support at various times throughout the day, seven days a week.

We require experienced, reliable and professional support workers to assist with the below tasks. Successful applicants will require the below skills and compliance documents prior to commencement.


Available shifts:

Approx shift times required

6 am - 2 pm / 2 pm - 10 pm Plus inactive sleepover

6.30 am - 8.30 am / 6.30 pm - 8.30 pm


Rates

• Day - $ 39.20 per hour
• Evening rate after 8 pm - $ 43.12 per hour
• Saturday - $ 54.88 per hour
• Sunday - $ 70.56 per hour
• Sleepover $187.80 includes 2 wake ups

Duties

• Assistance with personal care/bowel care/showering etc
• Assistance with domestic tasks
• Manual handling such as transfers
• Administering medication
• Assisting with community access + health and rehab appointments
• Family assistance
• Allocated exercies/stretches

Skills and experiences

• Australian Driver License
• Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged care
• Current National Police Clearance within 12 months
• Current Blue Card
• Current Yellow Card
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Support Effective Communication Module
• Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
• Administer medication certificate
• HLTHPS006 assit with medication
