About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced support workers to assist a 72-year-old male participant located in Brighton, QLD, who has a spinal cord injury.

We are looking to fill care shifts during a period of scheduled staff leave from December 8 to January 18. Successful applicants will begin on an on-call basis to complete training prior to the leave coverage period. There may also be potential for ongoing work with this participant beyond the initial period.

Shifts are available Monday to Sunday, with the following time slots:

• Morning: 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM or 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Evening: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The following specific shifts are currently available during the stated period (but are not limited to):

• Tuesday evening (5:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
• Friday evening (5:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
• Sunday morning (7:00 AM - 10:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Personal care and hygiene
• Domestic assistance
• Meal preparation
• Autonomic dysreflexia management
• Catheter and bowel management
• Medication management
• Skin integrity management
• Manual handling - use of sling hoist and transfers
• Community access + health and rehab appointment

Pay Rates

• Day shift: $42.50/hour
• Saturday shift: $59.50/hour
• Sunday shift: $76.50/hour

Requirements

• Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
• Australian Driver Licence
• Current Police Check
• First Aid & CPR certification
• Current Blue Card
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• Completion of Effective Communication Module (NDIS)
• Third-party compulsory car insurance
• Two professional references
• A reliable, proactive, and positive approach
