About the Role:

We are currently looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team to assist our participant in Temora, NSW. Our participant is a middle-aged male with a Spinal Cord Injury who is living independently and requires structured support. He is laid-back and easy-going but requires encouragement.

This role is on an on-going casual basis, with shifts to commence ASAP.

Current Roster:

• Monday - Sunday
• Shift 1: 8:00AM - 12:00PM (4 hours)
• Shift 2: 6:00PM - 10:00PM (4 hours)

Payrates:

• Day - $40.75 per hour
• Afternoon - $44.83 per hour
• Saturday - $57.05 per hour
• Sunday - $73.35 per hour
• Mileage incentive may be available for workers travelling from surrounding areas

Key Responsibilities:

• Prompting and supervision with personal care routines
• Daily skin checks and pressure injury monitoring
• Promoting independence
• Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning, cooking and laundry tasks
• Community access and shopping as required

Requirements:

• Experience supporting participants with spinal cord injury or complex care needs
• Australian Driver License is a MUST
• Current National Police Clearance
• Current Working with Children's Check
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module and Supporting Effective Communication Module
• Medication Administration Training (must)
• Reliability with a proactive and positive attitude is very important to the participant
