About the Role:

We are seeking experienced support staff to assist a male participant living in the Armidale region who has sustained an traumatic brain injury.

The participant enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle, including attending the gym, swimming, and engaging in the community. Supports are focused on promoting independence with daily routines, encouraging meaningful community participation, and supporting overall health and wellbeing.

This role involves providing structured support, assisting with mobility, and working within a team environment. Due to behavioural support needs, community shifts will require two staff to ensure safe and effective support. Please note this arrangement may transition to 1:1 support as needs change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting community access and social engagement
  • Assisting with transfers to and from vehicles
  • Providing support to attend appointments
  • Assisting with domestic duties, including cleaning and meal preparation
  • Supporting daily health, therapy, and rehabilitation exercises

Shift Details:

This role offers regular shifts from Monday - Friday 10:30am - 5:30pm

Pay & Incentives:

  • Day shift: $40 per hour
  • Afternoon shift: $44 per hour
  • Saturday shift: $56 per hour
  • Sunday shift: $72 per hour

Skills & Experiences:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  • Current National Police Clearance (within the last 12 months)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screen check
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Australian Driver Licence
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • NDIS Effective Communication Module
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
  • Prior experience supporting participants with Spinal Cord Injuries or Brain Injuries
