About the Role:

We are seeking experienced support staff to assist a male participant in Tamworth, NSW with an acquired brain injury and complex support needs. The role involves supporting daily routines, encouraging community engagement, providing prompting with personal care and medication, and working within a Positive Behaviour Support framework across a 24-hour roster. This position suits patient and proactive support workers committed to promoting independence, safety, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting community access and social engagement
  • Providing support to attend appointments
  • Assisting with domestic duties, including cleaning and meal preparation
  • Supporting daily health, therapy, and rehabilitation exercises

Shift Details:

This role offers regular shifts across a 24/7 roster, including:

  • Shift 1: 6:00am - 2:15pm
  • Shift 2: 2:00pm - 10:15pm
  • Shift 3: 10:00pm - 6:00am

Pay & Incentives:

  • Day shift: $38.75 per hour
  • Afternoon shift: $42.63 per hour
  • Saturday shift: $54.25 per hour
  • Sunday shift: $69.75 per hour

Skills & Experiences:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  • Current National Police Clearance (within the last 12 months)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screen check
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Full Australian Driver Licence
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • NDIS Effective Communication Module
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
  • Prior experience supporting participants with Spinal Cord Injuries or Brain Injuries
