About the Role:

Unidex Healthcare is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers for with a young female participant based in Bowral, NSW who is living with a spinal cord injury. The participant is largely independent but requires some support with daily activities such as meal preparation, attending appointments, light domestic duties, assistance/supervision during independent transfers and assistance with her exercise/stretching regime. She is a fun, creative, and easy-going young woman who enjoys journalling, writing and other artistic activities. This role is offered on a casual ongoing basis and is looking to commence as soon as possible.

Key Responsbilities:

  • Supporting health and rehabilitation exercises
  • Monitoring and completing daily skin checks
  • Assisting with domestic activities such as cleaning and meal preparation
  • Providing community access and engagement

Shift Details:

  • Monday, Wednesday & Friday - 0900 - 1300
  • Tuesday & Thursday - 0900 - 1200
  • Saturday & Sunday - 0900 - 1100
  • Monday to Sunday - 1700 - 1900

Pay & Incentives:

  • Day shift: $38.75 per hour
  • Afternoon shift: $42.63 per hour
  • Saturday shift: $54.25 per hour
  • Sunday shift: $69.75 per hour

Skills & Experiences:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  • Current National Police Clearance (within the last 12 months)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screen check
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Australian Driver Licence
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • NDIS Effective Communication Module
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
  • Prior experience supporting participants with Spinal Cord Injuries or Brain Injuries
