About the Role:

Unidex Healthcare are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to support an young male with complex physical needs in a home and community setting. The role involves assisting with personal care, transfers, bowel care, mobility, and daily routines, along with light domestic tasks and transport to therapy appointments. The participant enjoys NRL, the gym, spending time outdoors, and being with his dog, and is highly motivated to build independence making this an ideal role for a proactive and supportive worker.

Key Responsbilities:

  • Personal care; washing, drying, dressing and grooming
  • Assistance with Bowel care (training will be provided)
  • Catheter care (training will be provided)
  • Hoisting/Transfers
  • Daily skin checks
  • Supporting health and rehabilitation exercises
  • Monitoring and completing daily skin checks
  • Assisting with domestic activities such as cleaning and meal preparation
  • Providing community access and engagement

Shift Details:

  • Monday - Sunday - 0800 - 1300 (Subject to change)

Pay & Incentives:

  • Day shift: $40 per hour
  • Afternoon shift: $44 per hour
  • Saturday shift: $56 per hour
  • Sunday shift: $72 per hour

Skills & Experiences:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  • Current National Police Clearance (within the last 12 months)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screen check
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Australian Driver Licence
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • NDIS Effective Communication Module
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
  • Prior experience supporting participants with Spinal Cord Injuries or Brain Injuries
