Disability Support Worker

We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Support Workers to support a male participant living with a Spinal Cord Injury based in Jacobs Well. The participant is currently in hospital and is expected to be discharged in approximately 2-3 weeks. Successful applicants will be required to participate in meet-and-greets and paid hospital-based training prior to discharge to ensure they are confident and fully prepared to provide safe, consistent and person-centred support.

Roster:

Monday - Sunday

• 6am - 8am x 2
• 12pm - 2pm x 1
• 6pm - 8pm x 2

Duties:

• Assistance with Bowel and Catheter Care
• Medication assistance
• Assisting with exercises and rehabilitation
• Community access - OT, Physiotherapy and community appointments
• Personal Care
• Manual handling and hoisting

Skills & Experience

• Australian Driver's License
• Certificate 3 in Individual Support minimum requirement
• Current National Police Clearance within 12 months
• Current Blue Card
• Current Yellow Card
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Support effective communication module
