Disability Support Worker

Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:
We are currently looking for experienced and reliable Disability Support Workers for a client based in Benowa. Our client is a 76-year-old female and sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury post a motor-vehicle accident. They require moderate to high intensity care on a 24/7 roster with 2:1 support.

Shifts:

• 06:00am to 02:00pm

• 02:00pm to 10:00pm

• 10:00pm to 06:00am - active overnight shift

Duties:

• Assistance with personal care
• Hoisting & Transfers (full hoist/sling hoist)
• Medication administration
• Assistance with bowel care
• Supervision/assistance during meal time
• Assistance with domestic tasks including meal preparation
• Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises
• Community access + rehab appointments

Skills & Experiences:

• Australian Driver's License
• Certificate 3 in Individual Support minimum requirement
• Current National Police Clearance within 12 months
• Current Blue Card
• Current Yellow Card
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Support effective communication module
• Must hold a current 006- assist clients with medication certificate or willing to obtain
• Good availability with the flexibility to work across a range of shifts
