Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable Support Worker to partner with a young adult living in Mackay. Our participant has a spinal cord injury and is looking for someone who can provide personalized, respectful, and consistent support to help maintain independence and quality of life.

Duties:

• Assistance with personal care
• Assistance with bowel therapy (administering enema and digital stimulation)
• Assistance with domestic tasks
• Manual handling such as hoisting and transfers
• Administering medication
• Parental support

Skills & Experience

• Australian Driver's License
• Certificate 3 in Individual Support
• Current National Police Clearance within 12 months
• Current Blue Card
• Current Yellow Card
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Support Effective Communication Module
• Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude
• Medication administration certificate or willing to obtain
