Inventory Controller / Administrator

The Role

FHR currently have an opportunity for an experienced Inventory Controller / Administation to join our client located in Brendale who specialises in the furniture industry. We have immediate starts available for the candidate who is successful in their application for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory levels by accurately receiving, allocating, and maintaining stock records using the company's inventory management system.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound stock movements, ensuring timely processing of customer orders, transfers, and replenishments.
  • Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, delivery documentation, invoices, and other administrative paperwork while maintaining accurate records.
  • Liaise with suppliers, warehouse staff, transport providers, and internal departments to ensure efficient stock control and smooth operational workflows.
  • Generate inventory and performance reports, monitor key stock metrics, and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and customer service.

Skills, Experience & Requirements

  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse administration, or stock management within a manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP/WMS) with the ability to maintain accurate stock records, process stock movements, and investigate discrepancies.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, with the ability to analyse stock data, generate reports, and manage administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with warehouse, production, purchasing, and customer service teams to ensure inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
