Machine Operators – Steel Reinforcement – Afternoon Shift

The Role

FHR currently have multiple opportunities for an experienced Machine Operator to join our client that specialises in the Steel industry. This opportunity is located in Wetherill Park in Sydney and we have immediate starts available for the candidates who're successful in their application for these positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machinery (or learn) including cutters, benders, and off-coil equipment
• Handle materials using forklifts (Mobicon) and overhead cranes
• Keep production moving and meet daily targets
• Check quality and fix issues early
• Follow safety processes and standard procedures

Skills & Experience

• Experience in building materials, manufacturing, warehousing, or production (e.g. timber yards, concrete plants, steel suppliers, roofing, hardware distribution)

• Transferable skills such as machine operation, material handling, or production work
• A can-do attitude - willing to learn, take direction, and stay productive
• Forklift (LF) and/or crane experience (advantageous)
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
• Reliable and consistent - someone the team can depend on
