$28 - $36 per hour + afternoon shift loading + overtime available
Join a well-equipped heavy vehicle workshop in Shepparton supporting the maintenance of trucks and trailers used in transport operations.
This role is ideal for someone mechanically minded with workshop experience who wants stable full-time work. You do not need to be a qualified mechanic - experience with trailers, trucks, farm machinery or heavy equipment is highly valued.
The position is primarily afternoon shift, with occasional rostered rotation onto morning shift.
You will support the mechanical team with the servicing and repair of trailers and heavy transport equipment, including:
* Assisting with trailer servicing and repairs
* Supporting mechanics with truck and trailer maintenance
* Basic mechanical work and parts replacement
* Preventative maintenance and workshop support
* Preparing tools, equipment and parts for repairs
* Workshop organisation and general trade assistant duties
* Mechanical or workshop experience
* Experience with trailers, trucks, farm machinery or heavy equipment highly regarded
* Trade assistant or hands-on mechanical background preferred
* Strong work ethic and reliability
* Ability to work afternoon shifts with occasional morning rotation
* Safety-focused attitude
* Current driver's licence
Trade qualification is not essential if you have strong hands-on mechanical experience.
