The Opportunity

FHR is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to join this high-performing automotive manufacturing team.

REQUIRED: Quality Assurance background (automotive, bus, truck, heavy vehicle or manufacturing).

  • Excellent hourly rate $51-$56+ per hour (plus Afternoon Shift loading)
  • Afternoon Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:30pm - 12:00pm, RDO every second Friday
  • Immediate start, must be available for Day Shift training

Key Responsibilities

Your daily duties will include:

  • Conducting quality inspections across vehicle build stages
  • Monitoring and enforcing safety, compliance, and manufacturing standards
  • Auditing mechanical, electrical, and fabrication work
  • Preparing and maintaining quality documentation and reports
  • Identifying defects, non-conformance and initiating corrective actions
  • Coordinating with production, engineering, and leadership teams
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Overseeing final vehicle inspection and sign-off

Skills & Experience Required

To be successful, you will need:

  • Experience in automotive, bus, truck, heavy vehicle, engineering, or general manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of quality control, defect identification, and compliance processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, build sheets or engineering specs
  • Understanding of ISO standards, lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles (advantageous)
  • Previous experience in QA/inspection within a production or assembly environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Reliable, punctual and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical, including D&A
  • Current Police Check or willingness to obtain one
