About the Role

As the 2IC, you'll work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of warehouse and logistics operations. You'll assist with coordinating deliveries, managing inventory, supporting the warehouse team, and ensuring high standards of safety, quality and customer service are maintained.

This is a Monday to Friday position, working 8:00am - 4:00pm in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the day-to-day management of warehouse operations.
  • Coordinate deliveries, dispatch and transport schedules.
  • Manage inventory control, stock movements and stock accuracy.
  • Support the Warehouse Manager with team supervision and workflow planning.
  • Maintain accurate logistics documentation and inventory records.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport providers.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS policies and warehouse procedures.
  • Operate forklifts and assist with loading, unloading and general warehouse duties as required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and processes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.
  • Experience in a leadership, team leader or 2IC role is highly regarded.
  • Current Forklift Licence (essential).
  • Certificate III in Logistics, Warehousing or a related qualification (desirable).
  • Procurement or inventory management experience (advantageous).
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
