Stepping from apprenticeship into full-time industry work is a major milestone, and the Training2Tradie program is designed to make that transition smoother, help build confidence, and set you up for success.

On 19th November our team attended the AEN Apprentice Training Awards as we were proud to be nominated finalists for the GTO Service Excellent Program Award. Although we didn’t take home the win, having T2T recognised as a program supporting the growth, development, and success of our apprentices was a highlight and confirms the value this program is.

How to build Strong Networks

In the trades, who you know can be just as important as what you know. Training2Tradie teaches apprentices how to build meaningful professional connections: from engaging with Host Employers and mentors to making the most of industry events and social platforms. Participants learn how to communicate professionally, follow up effectively, and form relationships that can lead to long-term opportunities.

Creating a Job-Ready Resume

A great resume highlights more than skill, it tells the story of your development as a tradesperson. The program guides apprentices through creating polished, industry-focused resumes that showcase qualifications, on-site experience, safety knowledge, and project achievements. The result is a document that speaks clearly to employers and reflects the apprentice’s real strengths.

Mastering Interview Preparation

Confidence in an interview comes from preparation. Training2Tradie provides practical strategies for answering common interview questions, presenting trade experience, and demonstrating problem-solving abilities. Through mock interviews and feedback, apprentices learn how to communicate clearly, professionally, and with purpose.

Setting Goals for the Future

Career success doesn’t just happen, it’s planned. The program helps apprentices set achievable personal and professional goals, whether it’s landing their first full-time role, becoming a subcontractor, or working toward further qualifications.
