Disability Support Worker

The Role:
We are currently looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to partner with a 67 year old male participant based in Mortdale, NSW who has a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis

The current care plan in place requires support every Monday and Wednesday. The hours include:

  • Morning shift (8:30am - 10:30am)

Due the complexity of the participant, successful candidates must have experience with bowel therapy, catheter management and hoisting OR be willing to learn these skills.

Pay Rates:

  • Day - $42.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assistance with bowel therapy (administering enema and digital stimulation)
  • Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning & meal preparation
  • Assistance with catheter management (including applying leg bag)
  • Hoisting (full hoist/sling hoist)
  • Assistance with personal care
  • Completing skin checks
  • Eating and drinking assistance

Skills & Experiences:

  • Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
  • NDIS Effective Communication Module
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Current NDIS Worker Screen check
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Australian Driver Licence
  • Current WWCC
