Disability Support Worker

About the Company:

Unidex Healthcare are a privately owned recruitment company established in 2001 and operate across Australia, with our main offices in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland. Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:
We are currently looking for Disability Support Workers to work with our client based in Broadbeach, QLD. Our participant is a female in her 60's from China who sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury and does not speak English therefore, it is mandatory that all successful Support Workers are able to speak Mandarin. This is a casual ongoing position with no end date in sight; we can offer part-time or full-time hours.

The shift times are as follows:

AM Shifts (6am-12pm): Monday - Saturday

PM Shifts (12pm-6pm): Monday - Friday


Pay Rates:

Day - $40.00 p/hr

Saturday - $56.00 p/hr

Travel KM's - $0.99 per KM travelled with participant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transportation & participation in community access activities (beach walks, gym session, appointments, etc)
  • Supervision & prompting (as required)
  • Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning & meal preparation
  • Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises

Skills & Experiences:

  • Fluent in Mandarin (required)
  • Australian Driver Licence
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Current NDIS Screening Card or Yellow Card
  • Current Blue Card or Working with Children Check
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
