Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.
The Role:
We are currently looking for Disability Support Workers and Nurses to work with a 45-year-old male participant based in Barcaldine, QLD. Our participant recently sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) from a motorbike accident. As a result of the accident, the participant does have limited mobility and requires constant supervision and assistance with his personal care routine. This is a casual ongoing position with no end date in sight; we can offer part-time or full-time hours.
The current care plan in place requires 2 x assist for 24/7 care. The shift times are as follows:
- Morning shift will be (6:30am - 2:30pm)
- Afternoon shift will be (2:30pm - 10:30pm)
Successful candidates will be provided full training and upskilling with our clinical support team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assistance with personal care
- Assistance with toileting
- Assistance with bowel therapy (administering enema)
- Completing skin checks
- Medication administering
- Supervision during meal time
- Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning & meal preparation
- Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises
- Community access + rehab appointments
Skills & Experiences:
- Australian Driver Licence
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current NDIS Screening Card or Yellow Card
- Current Blue Card
- Administer Medication Certificate
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
