The Role:
UHC are seeking to engage a Disability Support Worker to partner with a female participant based in Ipswich, QLD 4305. Our Participant sustained a spinal cord injury which is the result of a motor vehicle accident. Pre motor vehicle condition include borderline personality disorder and neurocognitive disorder.

The role is commencing immediately. Assistance is required Monday to Sunday in the afternoon for 2 hours between 3pm and 7:30pm.

The key responsibilities in this role are:

• Assistance with personal care and hygiene (if required)
• Assistance with meal preparation, grocery shopping and packing away items
• Assistance with domestic tasks:
• Clean and pack away cutlery and dishes
• Vacuum and mop the house, wipe down all cupboard doors as required
• Ensure the fridge is clean and tidy, remove all perished foods from the fridge or cupboards if required.
• Empty rubbish bins and change bin liners when necessary
• Change bed linen, fold and put away laundry, hang out washing as required

The hourly rate of pay for this role is:

• Day shift: $40.00 per hour
• Afternoon shift: $44.00 per hour
• Saturday shift: $56.00 per hour
• Sunday shift: $72.00 per hour
• Travel Allowance: $0.99 per km (applies for medical related purposes)

• Australian Driver Licence

• Current First Aid and CPR
