Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:

We are currently looking for Disability Support Workers to work with a 29 year-old male-client in Bundaberg, Qld. Our participant is a double amputee, and has sustained Traumatic Brain Injury, mental health issues and requires medium intensity care. Applicants with prior experience of working with similar clients will be highly regarded. This is a casual ongoing position with no end date in sight.

We can offer both part-time and full-time hours to the right applicants.

• Day shift - 09:00am to 05:00pm, (Monday to Friday)

Pay Rates:

· Day shift between $38.75 per hour to $40 per hour · $0.99 travel allowance (applies only when travelling with participant to and from appointments).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assistance with personal care
• Manual Handling
• Medication Prompting
• Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning, laundry & meal preparation
• Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises
• Community access + rehab appointments
• Capacity Building and Companionship

Skills & Experiences:

• Australian Driver Licence + own vehicle
• Assistance in Medication Certificate
• Current National Police Clearance
• Current NDIS Screening Card or Yellow Card
• Current Blue Card
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
