Disability Support Worker

The Role:
We are currently looking for Disability Support Worker to work with our female client in Currumbin Waters, Qld. Our participant has suffered a traumatic brain injury and require low to moderate intensity care. Our participant also has two young children - a boy and a girl, under the age of 24 months. Applicants with prior experience of working with brain injury clients will be highly regarded. This is a casual ongoing position with no end date in sight; we can offer part-time or full-time hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assistance with personal care
- Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning, washing & meal preparation
- Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises
- Community access + rehab appointments
- Look after the kids when she is busy with her appointments.
Shift Hours:
- Day shift: 9.00am/10.00am to 4.00pm/ 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Pay rate:
- Pay rate: $38.75 per hour
- Travel allowance: $0.96 per km (applied only when travelling the participant to and from medical appointments).
Skills & Experiences:
- Australian Driver Licence
- Certificate III in Individual Support
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current First Aid / CPR Certificate
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current NDIS Worker Screening
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module - Certificate of Completion
- NDIS Supporting Effective Communication Module - Certificate of Completion
- Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude
