The Role:

We are currently looking for Disability Support Worker to work with our female client in Currumbin Waters, Qld. Our participant has suffered a traumatic brain injury and require low to moderate intensity care. Our participant also has two young children - a boy and a girl, under the age of 24 months. Applicants with prior experience of working with brain injury clients will be highly regarded. This is a casual ongoing position with no end date in sight; we can offer part-time or full-time hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assistance with personal care
• Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning, washing & meal preparation
• Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises
• Community access + rehab appointments
• Look after the kids when she is busy with her appointments.

Shift Hours:

• Day shift: 9.00am/10.00am to 4.00pm/ 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Pay rate:

• Pay rate: $38.75 per hour
• Travel allowance: $0.96 per km (applied only when travelling the participant to and from medical appointments).

Skills & Experiences:

• Australian Driver Licence
• Certificate III in Individual Support
• Current National Police Clearance
• Current First Aid / CPR Certificate
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current NDIS Worker Screening
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module - Certificate of Completion
• NDIS Supporting Effective Communication Module - Certificate of Completion
• Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude
