Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specializing in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

We are currently looking for an experienced Disability Support Worker to join our care team with our participant located in Rapid Creek NT

About Our Participant - Our participant is in his early 40's, is located in Rapid Creek NT and has sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury.

Our client is seeking a Support Worker companion who has the same interests as himself and is skilled in these areas, or is willing to learn. Ideally someone who will be comfortable within this environment and help support our client to achieve his goals.

He requires someone who has clear communication skills as he suffers with poor hearing and requires someone who can speak loudly, slowly, and clear.

In this role, we highly value punctuality and reliability, as they are essential qualities that contribute to our client's satisfaction and trust.

Shift times:

2 pm - 7 pm Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday on an ongoing weekly roster.

Duties:

  • Assistance with domestic tasks
  • Support engagement in fishing, cooking and gardening
  • Transporting to therapy or medical appointments

Rate of Pay:

  • Day $38.75 per hour

Skills and experiences

  • Australian Driver Licence
  • Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged care
  • Current National Police Clearance within 12 months
  • Current Blue Card
  • Current Yellow Card
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • NDIS Support Effective Communication Module
  • Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
  • Administer medication

Two references will be required.
