Metal Fabricator/ CNC Machine Operator

Frontline HR is looking for an experienced Metal Fabricator/CNC Machine Operator to join our client's team in Smithfield on a casual ongoing basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in aluminium fabrication, MIG welding, and operating metal curving or similar machinery in a manufacturing environment.

Position Overview:

You will be responsible for fabricating, MIG welding, and operating a metal curving machine to shape materials to precise specifications. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

About Metal Curving:

Metal curving is a specialised process that transforms flat metal sheets into precise, curved structures used in various industries. This process requires both technical expertise and precision to produce high-quality finished products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut, measure, and prepare materials for processing as per specifications.
• Perform MIG welding and metal fabrication to assemble components.
• Operate metal curving, CNC routing, and extrusion machines to shape materials accurately.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Read and interpret CAD drawings and dimensional details (highly desirable).

Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience in MIG welding and metal fabrication
• Previous experience operating a metal curving or CNC routing machine (desirable)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specifications
• Proficiency in reading and understanding CAD drawings (preferred)
• Ability to work efficiently in a structured manufacturing environment

Work Schedule & Remuneration:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
• Friday: 7:00 am - 1:30 pm
