About the Company:

The Role:
Our participant is a middle aged male requiring 24/7 support suffered from a spinal cord injury and a hypoxic brain injury due to a near drowning experience. He enjoys spending time at the beach and with his dog, and has an interest in surfing and mountain hiking.
Requirements:
Due the complexity of the participant, successful candidates must have experience with bowel therapy, catheter management and hoisting OR be willing to learn these skills.
SHIFTS AVALIABLE
- FLEXIBLE AVABILABLITY TO PICK UP ADDITIONTAL ONGOING SHIFTS
- WEDNESDAY: WED 4:00PM - THURS 10:00AM (SLEEPOVER REQUIRED)
4:00PM-10:00PM (active)
10:00PM - 06:00AM (in-active sleepover)
06:00AM-10:00AM (active)
The above listed shift is one whole shift and cannot be seperated.
Pay rates are:
- Day - $40.00 p/h
- Afternoon - $44.00 p/h
- Sat - $56.00 p/h
- Sun - $72.00 p/h
- Sleepover Allowance - $145.49 fixed rate
Key Responsibilities:
- Full sling hoist transfers
- Bowel care
- Shower assistance
- Hygiene / Dressing / Grooming assistance
- Skin assessments
- Meal preparations
- Medication administrastion
- Community access (MUST HOLD A FULL AUSTRALIAN DRIVERS LICENCE)
- Domestic tasks
Skills & Experiences:
- Experience in Bowel Care (Training provided), Catheter care and manual handling
- Medication administration
- Prior experience working with people who have complex care needs
- Prior experience with complex wound dressings
- Hygiene / Dressing / Grooming
- Current First Aid & CPR
- National Police Clearance
- NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module and Supporting Effective Communication Module
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Full Australian working rights
- Positive Attitude and flexibility in shift times
- Administering Medication Training Certificate
