Payroll Officer

Payroll Officer - 12 Month Contract
Location: Nunawading, VIC
Pay Rate: $47.39 per hour + Super
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join a busy and supportive Council team based in Nunawading on a 12-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional with strong attention to detail and a proven background in payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end payroll processing for a large workforce

• Maintaining accurate employee payroll records

• Processing timesheets, leave applications, and payroll adjustments

• Responding to payroll-related queries from employees and management

• Ensuring payroll compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements

• Assisting with payroll reporting and audits as required

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of recent payroll experience

• Previous experience using the PayGlobal payroll system

• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and payroll processes

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Highly Desirable:

• Previous experience working within a Council or Local Government environment

• Experience processing payroll under Enterprise Agreements

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
