Production Operator / Machine Operator – Steel Industry

The Role

FHR currently have multiple opportunities for a Production Operator / Machine Operator to join our client that specialises in the Steel industry. This opportunity is located in Wacol and we have immediate starts available for the candidates who're successful in their application for these positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently to meet daily production targets.
  • Set up, adjust and operate machinery in accordance with production requirements and company procedures.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required specifications and standards.
  • Load, unload and move steel and other materials around the production area using appropriate equipment.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
  • Carry out basic machine maintenance, troubleshooting and reporting of any faults or production issues.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Production Operator or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, machinery operation and workplace safety procedures.
  • Physically fit with the ability to perform manual handling and repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Gantry crane experience is highly desirable but not essential - training can be provided to the right candidate.
