Setting Apprentices Up for Success

April 01, 2025 | Press Release

Here at Frontline Human Resources, we take great pride in ensuring that our apprentices are ready and fully geared for the workplace. One of our recent initiatives, led by Katrina Sayce (Senior Business Consultant), has been upgrading our onboarding process.

As a Group Training Organisation, our onboarding is a major part of welcoming apprentices to our business. It gives us a chance to connect with them, team-build, and allows them the opportunity to chat with their fellow apprentices. Katrina shared “the presentation is all about making them feel supported and ready for the workplace”. This is also when apprentices receive their PPE and safety training.

At the core of our onboarding process is a detailed presentation that explains who FHR is, our values, policies, safety, and many other great resources. Recently Katrina has gone to great lengths to improve the structure of this, and has already seen major improvements to clarity, accountability, and engagement. This flexible structure also allows other members of the apprentice team to easily pickup and present, ensuring consistent messaging and reducing any risk of confusion for the apprentices.

So far, the apprentices have been leaving wonderful feedback on the changes. Katrina explains, “the feedback from a recent session demonstrated how worthwhile the timesheet demo is and the opportunity they will have working for Frontline”.

There is always opportunity for growth, and we continuously work towards making further improvements.
