Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturing business specialising in the production of high-quality forged metal components. Operating in a heavy manufacturing environment, the business supplies precision-forged steel products and components to a range of industries.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Factory Hand-Forklift Operator to join the team in Coburg North on a casual ongoing basis, with the opportunity to transition to permanent employment.

This is a varied, hands-on position involving forklift operation, picking and packing, assembly, labouring and general manufacturing duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating counterbalance and high-reach forklifts
• Picking and packing orders
• Loading and unloading materials
• Moving steel products and materials around the factory
• General factory and labouring duties
• Assembly work
• Batch testing
• Operating a walkie stacker
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

About You

• Current Forklift Licence (essential - must have)
• Counterbalance forklift experience (essential - must have)
• High-reach forklift experience (essential - must have)
• Previous factory, warehouse or manufacturing experience
• Trade background or mechanical aptitude highly regarded
• Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Strong safety focus
